Not so recently I updated the wheels and components on my road bike, and decided to take a few photos of it. Basically it's a one light setup, used an AB800 at full power to camera left or right through a shoot-through umbrella.

It was during the sunset so I really wanted to implement and use ambient light on the shots.

I underexposed this shot and got a cool highlight on the San Marco saddle.

Again, those sun rays. It was great practice seeing the light through the viewfinder and metering accordingly to achieve a specific effect.

The Ultegra 6700 components were a huge upgrade to my old 105 stuff, much lighter and a lot more precise, a lot cleaner too since all the cables are re-routed through the inside of the shifter. Leaving the handlebar less cluttered.

Ending with my favorite shot of the set. The carbon wheels were a much needed upgrade also, not only for weight purposes, but also aerodynamics. The bike feels more stable at high speeds and when putting power down, it picks up and takes off much faster than before with regular aluminum wheels. I also upgraded to Michellin PRO4 Race tires and ZIPP butyl tubes, since the upgrade about 3 months ago, not one flat :)
